Just wanted everyone to know that we did take Mercedes to Hermann Hospital today because she was still vomiting and could not hold anything down. She also said that she was seeing/hearing things that she was pretty sure were not there. We just got back a bit ago and she is fine, the docs said that it is post-concusion syndrome and juiced her up on IV fluids and a new med to help with the nausea/vomiting. They got the films from Ben Taub hospital and compared the re-takes from today. There was no change in the brain scans (she had bruising of the brain upon initial scans the night of the accident) She looked so much better when she left the hospital. So we are expecting her to get stronger with each day. I appreciate the prayers and thoughts that have gone out in her behalf. We are so blessed to be in His family. Please continue to pray for her, she is moving slow but again it is truly a miracle that she is still with us. As we took the pics of her car yesterday, it was as if I could invision an angel coming at the right time and plucking her out of that car to spare her from the crushing injury of the steering wheel. That pic has gone through my mind since yesterday. It was such perfect timing on His part. Mercedes was so surprised that she even wore her seal belt that night, she is not a very compliant driver when it comes to the seat belt, she is hit and miss. Even that, I believe was the Lord, that she did not think much about it and clicked the belt on. He knew she needed it for that initial impact and then He sent the angel to pluck her out. Can you just see it friends.....ironically her pastor Frank was telling Tim the very same story...I think it is an awesome testimony to the Lord, right down to the seat belt. The most fantastic reality is that her brother-in-law recommitted his life to the Lord after he left her hospital room that Friday night....wow...God is so awesome and has taken this horrific accident and has provided new life for Roger.....We serve such an awesome God.........thanks again to everyone, we love all of you so much........
